Daniel L. Linback, 81 of Logansport, passed away Monday, October 30, 2017 in his residence.

Born on February 26, 1936 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Clarence and Cleo (Cover) Linback.  On June 21, 1959 in Logansport he married Jane Wolf who survives.

Daniel was a lifelong mechanic. He especially enjoyed working on antique cars. In his spare time Daniel liked to listen to classic country music and spend time with his family and friends. Daniel was a United States Air Force Veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post 60.

Surviving along with his wife Jane, is a son, Brian D. Linback; two daughters, Regina M. Caroway; Karen K. Pearson, all of Logansport; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter; three brothers, Vernon (Lu) Linback, South Bend; John (Dixie) Linback, Walkerton; Tom (Marlene) Linback, Logansport; two sisters, Dorla (Lawrence) Nelson, Walla Walla, WA; and Lillie (Wilbur) Spencer, Logansport.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Linback, and two sisters, Nancy Christen and Patricia Roland.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 also in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Grace Fellowship Church.
