David Sunday

David L. Sunday, 81 of Logansport, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Chase Center in Logansport.

Born on February 28, 1935 in Peru, Indiana , he was the son of the late Ralph and Fern (Dowell) Sunday. On June 5, 1966 in Kokomo, Indiana he married Carolyn A. Sanders who survives.

David worked at Continental Steel in Kokomo and retired from ELCO in Logansport. He was a 1953 graduate of Peru High School and a United States Army Veteran.  David was a member of Vineyard Community Church in Logansport, enjoyed playing golf and softball. He was also an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs.

Surviving along with his wife Carolyn is a son, Mike Digue, Florida; two daughters, Kalin Walker and Kathleen Digue both of Peru; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating. Burial with full Military Rites will be held in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 17 also in the funeral home.
