Fred L. Taylor, 67, of Logansport passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.
Born on September 8, 1949 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Fred and Ruby (Humphrey) Taylor. On July 3, 1975 in Logansport he married Connie Hayden who survives.
Fred retired from Carter Concrete Block, he had also worked for RCA and Hamilton Standard. During harvest season he also hauled grain for Criswell Farms.
Fred was a member of the class of 1968 at Pioneer High School. He was an avid outdoorsmen, you would always find him on his lawnmower, digging on his backhoe down by his ponds, and fishing. Fred loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and dog Gidget.
Surviving along with his wife Connie are two daughters, Regina (Marvin) McAninch, Burnettsville; Dawn (Jeff) Kabat, Logansport; son, James (Marcia) Taylor, Logansport; grandchildren, Jason (Paige) McAninch; Brianna McAninch; Briar McAninch; Torii Taylor; Zacery Taylor; Geneva Kabat; Jessica Kabat; great grandchildren; Jeremiah and Colby McAninch; Tathen Carty; Case McAninch; sister, Lenora (Ed) Armbruster, Medina, OH; K9 companion, Gidget Taylor; several aunts, an uncle; brother and sister in law, Bill (Peggy) Hayden; nephews, Matt and Tony Hayden.
He was preceded in death a his grandson, SSG Kenneth McAninch, and two brothers, Ted and Jesse Taylor.
A Celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.
