George Blackhurst Jr.

George Victor Blackhurst Jr., 87, of Logansport passed away Monday, August 31, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on June 11, 1928 in Ashland, KY, he was the son of the late George Victor Blackhurst Sr. and Margaret (Linan) Blackhurst.  On November 12, 1949 in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, he married Estaleta Peterman who preceded in death on October 23, 2012.

George was a former welder for Avtex INC. He enjoyed walking and visiting with his friends and family.

Surviving is a daughter, Catherine G. (Robert) Cree, Lucerne; son, Richard C. (Patty) Blackhurst, Linesville, PA; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Private burial will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
