James “Jim” A. Pugh, 65 of Lucerne passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette, IN.

Born on July 29, 1950 in Rochester, IN  he was the son of the late Cameron and Ruby (Confer) Pugh. On June 20, 1971 in Peru, Indiana he married Rebecca “Becky” S. Koontz who survives.

Jim was a tool and die maker for A. Raymond Tinnerman Manufacturing and formerly ELCO. He attended Metea Baptist Church. Jim enjoyed fly fishing, restoring Allis Chalmers Tractors and was an avid fan of the Pioneer Panthers, Indiana Basketball, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.

Surviving along with his wife Becky, is a son, Michael (Nicole) Pugh, Lafayette; two daughters, Jennifer (Trevor) Fuller, Cooperstown, NY; Allison (Scott) Grenert, Logansport; four sisters, Brenda (Mark) Gundrum, Fulton; Linda Fisher, Macy; Connie (Dwight) Humerickhouse, Macy; and Zalla Working, Moyock, N.C.; grandchildren, Macy, Sophie, Roman and Averie Pugh; Zachary and Elyse Grenert; Nolan and Grace Fuller; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.  Jim’s last ride will be in his red truck to Ever-Rest Memorial Park cemetery.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Saturday, also at the funeral home.
