Joel Bowman

Joel Michael Bowman, 27, Logansport, passed away Friday May 1, 2015 at 9:37 pm in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born September 8, 1987 in Logansport to Herbert M. Bowman and Victoria L. Bender.

Joel was employed by Chucks Towers and Flowers. He was a 2006 graduate of Logansport High School, joined the Indiana National Guard and was deployed to serve his country in Afghanistan in 2009 and 2010. Joel loved video games, Indianapolis Colts, Notre Dame Football, watching movies and spending time with family, especially his daughter.

Survivors include his daughter, Alexis Nicole Bowman, Walton; mother, Victoria L. (Bill) Campbell, Logansport; Father, Herbert M. Bowman, Logansport; Sister, Chelsea (Joshua) Cates, Logansport; two step sisters, Allison (Bub) Klinefelter, Kewanna; Jeni Campbell, Logansport; maternal grandmother, Janice Bender, Logansport; paternal grandparents, Herbert D. and Mary Ann Bowman, New Waverly; several aunts , uncles and cousins.

A grandfather, Edward J. Bender Jr. and several brothers in arms, preceded in death.

A celebration gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 - 7 pm Tuesday at the Gundrum Funeral Home and Military Rites preformed by the Cass County Honor Guard will be held at 7:00 PM.
