Mary Margaret Bowman, 95 of Camden, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at McKinney Place in Logansport.

She was born December 26, 1919 in Logansport, IN, and was the daughter of the late Taylor and Lillie Mae (Wagner) Fouts.  She graduated from Carrollton High School in 1938 and Purdue University with a degree in Home Economics in 1943.

On April 25, 1943 in Deer Creek, Indiana she married Leo D. Bowman who preceded in death on November 16, 2009.  She and Leo enjoyed their euchre club, going fishing in Minnesota, and spending the winters in Fort Myers, FL. Mary also enjoyed quilting and knitting. She thoroughly enjoyed teaching her grandchildren how to bake, sew, and play cards.  She sang in the Purdue Glee Club and substitute taught.  Mary was a lifetime member of the Carrollton Home Economics Club, a past deacon and life member of Deer Creek Presbyterian Church where she belonged to the LCS woman's group.

She leaves behind one son, Darrel (Diane) Bowman; one daughter, Mara (Jerry) Hendress, both of Camden;  four grandchildren, Shane (Patti) Bowman; Todd Bowman; Jason (Lori) Hendress; Lindsey (Travis) Jones; two step grandchildren; five great grandchildren, and 5 step great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick Fouts; and one sister, Pauline Jones Kirkpatrick.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church with Pastor Harry Roselle & Dr. David Smook officiating. Burial will be in the Hopewell North Cemetery, Deer Creek.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until time of services on Sunday.

Memorials may be made to the Deer Creek Presbyterian Church.
