Robert Thomas Winegardner, 92 of Logansport passed away Monday, September 19, 2016 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on July 18, 1924 in Twelve Mile, Indiana, he was the son of the late Walter L. and Edith (Conrad) Winegardner. On March 5, 1948 in Logansport, Robert married Mary N. Parmeter who preceded in death on August 1, 1991.

Robert retired in 1973 from the Conrail Railroad.  He attended Hoover Grade School and Twelve Mile High School. Robert attended the Church of Christ at Logansport, was a member of the United Transportation Union and was a very skilled woodworker.

Surviving is a son, Fred (Cindy) Winegardner, Walton; daughter, Kim (Glen) Vigar, Logansport; step sons, Donnie (Etta) Putnam, Macy, IN; Richard Putnam, Logansport; step daughter, Susie (Charlie) DeHaven, Logansport; brothers, Gordon "Jack" Winegardner, Logansport; Ronald Winegardner, Ft. Myers, FL; five grandchildren; several step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; sever al great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Victor, Burl, William, Harold, and Melvin Winegardner; sister, Wanda Kirkham; and two step sons, Ed and Gene Putnam.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 22, 2016 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Trampas Young and  Jeff Strite officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, also in the funeral home.
