Betty Cooley

Betty L. Cooley, 86, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on March 15, 1932 in Logansport, she was the daughter to the late Arthur F. and Juanita (Epler) Waddups. On November 8, 1952 in Logansport she married Joseph J. Cooley who preceded her in death on June 8, 1986.  She later enjoyed the companionship of Arliegh Willis for 18 years before he passed away October 2, 2006.

Betty retired from Tay-Mor Industries and had also worked for General Telephone Company. She was a member of Anoka United Methodist Church, American Legion and V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary, and enjoyed riding in her golf cart.

Surviving her are two daughters, Jody Palmerone, Logansport; Jolene (Charlie) Richey, Lawrenceburg, KY; two brothers, Ralph (Delores) Waddups, Harlingen, TX; James (Bobbie) Waddups, Logansport; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Bonnie Schnieb and a granddaughter, Jennifer Croddy.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mt Hope Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Saturday.
