Bobbie Noble

Bobbie Wayne Noble, 95, of Logansport, passed away Friday Dec. 27, 2019 at 7:10 pm in Millers Merry Manor of Logansport.

Born Feb. 29, 1924 in Logansport he was the son of the late Ross Emerson and Ethel Pearl (McMullun) Noble. On July 19, 1946 in Logansport he married Betty Jean DeHaven who preceded in death Nov. 15, 2000.

Bobbie had worked as the foreman in the paint department at the Logansport State Hospital for many years. He was a member of V.F.W. Post #3790 and American Legion Post #60. He proudly served his country by serving in the Navy during WW2 and the Korean War. He was also an avid golfer.

Survivors include three daughters, Diana “Dee” (Erman) Dowell, Lou Ann (Gerald) Brown and Laura (Rick) Albright, all of Logansport; one son, Nelson (Marilyn) Noble, Logansport; sister, Myra Vanecek, Lawrenceburg, IN; 6- grandchildren; 2-step grandchildren; 13-great grandchildren; 3-step great grandchildren; and 7- great great grandchildren.

Bobbie was preceded in death by 4-sisters and 1-brother.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday Dec. 31, 2019 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tim McKaig officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until time of services Tuesday.

A private burial with full military rites will be held at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the  U.S.S. North Carolina Battleship Memorial Fund.
