James Alfred Gundrum

James Alfred Gundrum, 89 of Kewanna, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Woodbridge Health Campus is Logansport.

Born on October 14, 1928 in Pulaski County, Indiana, he was the son to the late Otto F. and Monica B. (Gerlach) Gundrum.  On December 26, 1951 in Fulton, Indiana he married Bette J. Townsend who preceded in death on September 30, 2017.

Alfred retried from General Telephone Company where he worked as a service technician. He was a 1946 graduate of Fulton High School, a United States Army Veteran, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rochester, American Legion Post #36, Elks Lodge #66, Voiture #729 40 & 8, Rochester Eagles Lodge, Kewanna VFW and Knights of Columbus.

Surviving is a son, James Robert (Terri) Gundrum, Rochester; two daughters, Sandy (Charles) Warpenburg, Twelve Mile; Beth (Gary) Williams, Rochester; two brothers, Ronald F. Gundrum, Fulton; Thomas D. (Beverly) Gundrum, Logansport; grandchildren, Chuck (Abby) Warpenburg; Uriah (Josie) Horn; Christine (Steve) Lang; Amanda (Steve) Metzger; Nicole (Vance) Monical; Ryley Williams; Ryan Williams; Ashley Gundrum; great grandchildren, Ella, Monica, Jack, Paisley, Mason, Max, Chas, Gage, Grayce, Camden, Kyrsta, Kayvan and Kooper; and three great great grandchildren, Livy, Sadie and Oliver; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, William J. Gundrum and a brother, Bernard Gundrum.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 1, 2018 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rochester with Father Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Fulton Cemetery with full military rites.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM Friday, August 31, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A word service followed by a Rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church or Fulton Cemetery, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
