Karl Anthony "Tony" Trent

Karl Anthony “Tony” Trent, 43 of Fulton, passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on November 29, 1974 in Knox, Indiana, he is the son of Dorsie Beach Trent and Dorothy Ann (Shadek) Trent.  On December 2, 1995 in the Fulton Baptist Temple he married Cindy Miller who survives.

Tony had worked as a paramedic a volunteer firefighter for the Liberty Township Volunteer Fire Department and most recently a substitute teacher for the Caston School Cooperation.  He was a member of the Fulton Baptist Temple and the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association. Tony enjoyed reading, fishing, shooting, listening to music and spending time with his family.  He was an amazing father to many children thru the foster care system.

Surviving along with his wife Cindy, is a son, Jackson “C.J.” Trent, both of Fulton; brother, Kyle Trent, LaCrosse, IN; sister, Laurie Fetrow, Winamac; sister in law, Lori (Jeremy) Remley, South Bend, IN; mother, Dorothy Ann Trent, Winamac; father and mother in law, Kenny and Barb Miller, Rochester; several nieces, nephews, and two Godchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dorsie Trent; three sisters, Sherri Trent, Diane Trent and Deborah Ann Trent-Caudill.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 5, 2018 in the Fulton Baptist Temple with Pastor Bruce Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Visitation will also be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Friday in the Church.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Township Fire Department, Fulton Baptist Temple or to an education fund in care of his son, C.J.. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
