Lester Elliott

Lester W. Elliott, 87 of Lucerne passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on March 11, 1931 in Cass County, Indiana, he was the son to the late Albert and Dora (Bassler) Elliott. On August 12, 1950 in Cass County he married Roberta Milburn who survives.

Lester was the retired owner and operator of Elliott Seeds. He was also a farmer. Les was a member of the Cass County Farm Bureau, Lucerne Lions Club, was a former 4-H leader and a member of the American Soybean Association.

Surviving along with his wife Roberta, is a daughter, Mary Sue Elliott, West Lafayette; two sons, John Richard (Liz) Elliott, Carmel; Max Lee (Nancy) Elliott, Lucerne; sister, Helen Mae (John) Lucas, Colorado Springs, CO; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Elliott, George Elliott, Don Elliott, Harold Elliott; half- brother, Forest Elliott; half-sister, Maude Thompson.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Minnick officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Methodist Cemetery, Lucerne.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 also in the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Lucerne Lion’s Club, Riley’s Children Hospital, or your favorite charity.
