Patricia Ann Studebaker, 89 of Logansport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born in Bluffton, Indiana on June 4, 1927 , she was the daughter of the late Joe and Mildred Lesh.  On September 25, 1945 she married Merlin “Doc” Studebaker who preceded in death on August 13, 2004.

Pat was a graduate of Rock Creek High School. She was a lifelong homemaker. Pat was a dedicated member of St. James Lutheran Church and the church’s Mary Martha Guild. In earlier years she volunteered in the church dining room serving meals for various church functions. She also served on various church committees. Pat was a previous member of Girl Scouts and 4-H.  She enjoyed gardening , fishing, and taking care of her cats.

She enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and plays.  While residing at Woodbridge she had her life-long wish granted. She had always been interested in medicine and viewing a medical procedure.  Her wish was granted when Dr. Gerdisch from St. Francis Heart Center invited her to view a double valve heart surgery.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Connie Hallam of Logansport; two grandsons, Jeff (Barb) Hallam of Fishers and Chris (Cindy) Hallam of Logansport; six great-grandsons, Sam (Hannah), Joe, Pete, Nate, CJ, and Luke; one great-great grandson, Jackson; and her sister-in-law, Vera Studebaker, of Logansport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin; her parents, Joe and Mildred Lesh; her son-in-law, Gene Hallam; her father and mother-in-law, Clay and Etta Studebaker; her brother-in-law, Richard “Tink” Studebaker; nephew, Terry Studebaker; and her niece, Judy Studebaker-Warren.

Visitation will be at Gundrum Funeral Home on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM..  A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 11:30 AM with Pastor K.C. Dehning officiating.  Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Deer Creek.
