Stan "Roundman" Sanders

Stan “Roundman” M. Sanders, 75, of Logansport, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in his residence.

Born on December 17, 1943 in Logansport, he is the son to the late Robert W. and Kathryn (Stanford) Sanders.  On June 23, 1963 in Onward, Indiana, he married Eloise Zell who survives.

Stan graduated from Logansport High School in 1962. He worked for Chrysler and was a member of UAW 685. Stan was a lifetime member of Main Street United Methodist where he served on several leadership boards.  He enjoyed following local, college and professional sports, especially the Cubs, Bears, and Boilermakers. Stan liked to fish, play the accordion for several local nursing homes and was an avid golfer. He always enjoyed bragging to his partners that he has had two hole in ones in his lifetime.

Surviving along with his wife Eloise, are two sons, Randy J. Sanders of Kokomo, IN, Scott D. (Kim) Sanders of Goshen, IN; brother, Larry T. (Janet) Sanders of Orlando, FL; two granddaughters, Jessica (Eric) Weaver of Goshen, IN, Julianne Sanders of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandson, Anthony Sanders of Goshen, IN; great-granddaughter, Avelyn Weaver of Goshen, IN;

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Colleen Harden officiating. Burial will be at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church in Logansport.
