Leroy Moss

Leroy E Moss, 95, of Logansport, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at McKinney Place in Logansport.

Born on April 30, 1928, in Twelve Mile, Indiana, Leroy is the son of the late David E. and Estella May (Beamer) Moss.  On April 30, 1948, in Logansport, Leroy married Willidean E. Cumberland who preceded him in death on August 29, 1997.

Leroy was a United States Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War.  He was a member of the Metea Baptist Church, American Legion Post 60, V.F.W Post 3790, and Rochester Masonic Lodge.

Leroy had worked for RBM/ Essex Wire/Hamilton Standard/United Technologies as an industrial engineer, he retired from there in 1992.

Surviving Leroy are his three children, Cinda (Jim) Harness of Lucerne; Rick (Sherri) Moss of Zephyrhills, FL, and Tym Moss of New York, NY; four grandchildren, Blake (Charlotte) Harness, Whitney (Katie) Harness, Jill Moss and Courtney Moss; seven great grandchildren, Bailey and Carson Harness, Emma, Olivia and Willa Harness, Raine Hamm and Carter Moss.

Leroy was also preceded in death by a grandson, Mark Harness; daughter in law, Lynne Moss; five brothers, Ellis, Edwin, Carl, Tom and Raymond Moss; and two sisters, Hazel Pierson and Garnett Rimpler.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 5, 2023, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Foreman officiating. Burial with full Military Graveside Rites will follow in the Metea Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2023, also in the Gundrum Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to the Metea Baptist Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
