Bettie Savini

Bettie M. Savini, 96, of Logansport, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 24, 1924 in Logansport, she is the daughter to the late Raymond C. and Flossie F. (Campbell) McPherson.  On June 19, 1942 in Kokomo, Indiana, she married John J. “Butch/Joe” Savini Sr. who preceded in death on January 3, 1993.

Bettie was a bookkeeper and administrative assistant for Hildebrant Corp and the Logansport Public Library. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Past President of the Cass County Church Women United group.

Bettie is survived by a son, John J. (Carol) Savini Jr. of Cobden, Illinois; daughter, Pam (Rob) Altice of Temecula, California; two son in laws, Tim Holcomb and John Scott Sr., both of Logansport; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Carolyn Holcomb and Kathy Scott; three sisters, Stella L. McMinn, Martha Boulden and Elizabeth Zellers; one brother Carl H. McPherson.

A funeral service for Bettie will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
