Bruce Shanks

— Bruce A. Shanks, 53, Logansport, died at 10:25 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2010, at St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis.

The son of Bill and Virginia Meyer Shanks, he was born Nov. 13, 1956, in Logansport.

A tool and die maker, Bruce enjoyed boating, camping and traveling.

He is survived by his daughters, Elisha Shanks, Indianapolis, and Kahla Shanks, Logansport; his parents, Bill and Virginia Shanks, Logansport; two sisters, Peggy Johnson and husband Gary, Logansport, and Judy Micklos and husband Jim, Chicago; companion, Karen Holcomb, Logansport; two grandchildren, Marissa and Meylina, both of Logansport; aunts, Phyllis Beeler and husband Roy, Logansport, and Lois Antonelli, California; and his beloved dog, Bear.

Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Larry DeVos officiating.

Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery in Logansport.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Guardian Angel Hospice, Cass County Humane Society or your favorite charity.
