Charles “Casey” Edward Jones, age 87, of Logansport, passed away at 10:25 pm Monday June 29, 2020 in his residence.
Born on November 14, 1932 in Lucerne, IN to the late Charles E. and Mae (Powlen) Jones. On July 12, 1962 in Logansport, IN he married Mary Lou Graf who survives.
Casey was a retired English teacher for the Caston School Corporation where he served for 38 years. He was an Army Veteran, member of Elk’s Lodge #66 and former driver’s education instructor. He was also an avid golfer, a loyal fan of Chicago Cubs, Bears and IU Basketball. Casey was a former score keeper and PA announcer for Football and Basketball at Caston. His favorite past time was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Other survivors including his wife are two daughters, Tina Anderson, DeLand, FL; Lisa Clark, Logansport, IN; two sons, Daniel (Mona) Jones, Logansport, IN; Charles “Charlie” E. (Beth) Jones Jr., Logansport, IN; eight grandchildren; Stacy Paulovich, Jennifer Floyd, Madison Jones, Carter Jones, Tracy Anderson, Julia Haimbaugh, Victoria Day and Stephanie MacGregor; fourteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Casey was preceded in death by one sister, Jayne Jones.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, a graveside service, including full military rites by the Cass County Honor Guard, will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday July 7, 2020 at the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Pastor Dave Sommers officiating.
A private gathering for immediate family will be held at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the All Saint’s Catholic Church.
