Dale S. Friedrich

Dale S. Friedrich, age 51, of Guyton GA, formerly of Pierceton, IN, passed away Monday Dec. 18, 2023, in Lorain County, Ohio.

Dale was born July 19, 1972, in Valparaiso, IN and is the son of Larry E. and Gloria (Birk) Friedrich. On December 23, 1995, in Rochester, Indiana, Dale married Regina Keyser who survives. Dale and Regina attended church at Springfield Oaks, in Springfield, GA.

Dale was a 1991 graduate of Caston High School where he played football, basketball and track.  While living in Pierceton, Dale was a volunteer firefighter, first responder, investigator and trainer.  Dale loved spending time with his family, especially over a meal. He cherished being a papa to his “grandboys” and loved being a dad. He also had a special place in his heart for his dog Sawyer.

Dale also loved being a truck driver, which he had been for 27 years. He always made sure to be home on the weekends to be with his girls.  Dale was an avid Mt. Dew and coffee drinker.  He liked to work on old tractors with his dad and could always be counted on to help with the spring and fall farm work that needed to be done at his parents’ farm.

Surviving Dale along with his wife Regina, and parents, Larry and Gloria Friedrich, are his two daughters, Ashleigh (Joshua) Aldrich of Saulsbury, TN and Nataleigh Friedrich of Guyton, GA; sister, Amy Friedrich of Kokomo, IN; two grandsons, Lincoln Aldrich and Colton Aldrich; niece, Morgan Seeman; mother-in-law Susan Sheane of Guyton, GA.

Dale was preceded in death by a grandson, Jackson Aldrich.

A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Losier officiating. Burial will take place at Kewanna Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Kewanna, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Gundrum Funeral home.
