A memorial service for Evelyn Yeakley, 85, Logansport, will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 2, 1922, in Lexington, Ky., she was the daughter of Walter L. and Pansy A. Rivers Gaby. She was married Dec. 18, 1949, in the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, to Deane E. Yeakley, who survives.

Mrs. Yeakley was a homemaker and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Evelyn enjoyed playing the organ, listening to music, playing bingo and traveling. Her greatest joys were the wonderful times with her family and friends. She had a very generous and loving heart.

Also surviving are three daughters, Deena Monahan and her husband, Marty, Betsy Morrical and her husband, Dr. David, and Sally Beeler and her husband, Roger, all of Logansport; one brother-in-law, Lee Wayne Yeakley and his wife, Freda, Logansport; two sisters-in-law, Mary Blue and her husband, Jerry, Cutler, and Mag Albaugh and her husband, Harry, Logansport; grandchildren, Andrea Monahan and John Morrical and his wife, Erica, all of Indianapolis, Martin Monahan, Chicago, Mike Morrical and his wife, Amanda, Lebanon, Tenn., Jim Kesser and his wife, Michelle, Denver, Colo., and Chris Fiscel and his wife, Stormy, Crystal Smith and her husband, Rob, Casie Klepinger and her husband, Jim, and Rebekah Gearhart and her husband, Jake, all of Logansport; great-grandchildren, Hunter P. Klepinger, Gavin C. Smith, Cooper L. Smith, Owen P. Morrical, Macey R. Gearhart and George C. Gearhart; and several cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved Yorkie “Eddie Jo.”

The Rev. Scott Ellison and Dr. Anthony Fagbami will officiate at the services. Private graveside rites will be held at a later date.

Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cause For Paws, the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
