Gladys Wood

Gladys P. Wood, 80 of Logansport, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 in her home.

Born on July 19, 1936 in Monticello, IN, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Geneva (Mitchell) Swartz.  On June 6, 1954 in Monticello she married Maynard L. Wood who preceded in death on September 28, 2013.

Gladys worked for RBM in Monticello and for the Golden Rule in Logansport. She was also an Avon representative for almost 30 years. Gladys enjoyed working in the yard, crocheting, and reading.

Surviving are two sons, Dan L. (Vicki) Wood, Lafayette; Loy F. (Linda) Wood, Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jane (Jim) Anderson, Peru; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Knight.

Per Gladys’s request there will be no services.

Memorials in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory.
