Ida Shanks

 Ida Virginia Shanks, age 91 of Logansport, passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 in McKinney Place. 

 Born April 8, 1929 in Columbia Mississippi to the late Louis and Ivah (Murden) Meyer. On July 31, 1949 in Logansport she married Billy G. Shanks who survives. 

 Virginia was a former assembler at Switches Inc. and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. 

 Other survivors, including her husband are two daughters, Peggy (Gary) Johnson, Logansport; Judy (Jim) Micklos, Chicago, IL; three granddaughters, Elisha (Matt) Reinhart, Logansport, IN; Kahla Shanks, Logansport, IN; Cara Johnson, Ingalls, IN; four grandsons, Matthew (Crystal) Johnson, Oak Grove, MO; Brian (Christie) Johnson, Rochester, WA; Jared Micklos, New York, NY; Nathan (Jill) Micklos, Seattle, WA; one sister, Lois Antonelli, Modesto, CA; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. 

 One son Bruce A. Shanks, one brother, Mathew Meyer, preceded in death 

 A celebration of life for Virginia and her husband Billy will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday July 16, 2024 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Candice Hinkle officiating.

A visitation time will also be held on Tuesday July 16, 2024 from 11:00 am until time of services

 Memorial contributions may be made to the Guardian Angel Hospice Foundation or the Cass County Humane Society.
