John B. Showley

John Bradley Showley, 58, of Logansport, passed away on November 25, 2025. Born in Logansport on February 21, 1967, John was the son of Ann and Doug Shafer, and Eddie Showley. He was a proud graduate of Pioneer High School and spent his working years as a skilled carpenter.

John was an outdoorsman through and through. He loved deer hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, and simply being outside. Some of his happiest moments were spent in the woods or on the water, sharing the quiet beauty of nature with the people he loved. John also enjoyed spending time with friends, staying active, and keeping life simple, meaningful, and busy. For over three decades, he shared his life with his wife Robin Willis, creating a bond built on deep companionship and love.

John leaves behind his wife of many years, Robin Willis; his mother, Ann (Doug) Shafer; his father, Eddie Showley; his daughters, Heather Showley and Emily (Miles) Plothow; his son, Justin King; and his grandchildren, Rylan Showley and Brooks Plothow. He is also survived by his brother, Michael Showley, as well as his beloved dog, Simba “Bim.”

He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Showley.

John will be remembered for his independence, his steadfast nature, and the way he made every day an opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and the people around him.
