Joseph Zellers

Services for Joseph Russell Zellers, 66, formerly of Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in his residence.

Born June 7, 1939, in Logansport, he was the son of Vaughn Donald and Mary Martha Simon Zellers. He was married to Sally Roberts, who survives.

Mr. Zellers retired in January 2005 as a special projects engineer for Mapes.

He was a member of the Elks Club.

He enjoyed talking to people on his Ham Radio and programming his computers. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing with his friends.

Also surviving are three daughters, Theresa Christensen, Logansport, Sally Jordan, Forest, and Susan Streeter, Lafayette; two sons, Joseph Donald Zellers, South Carolina, and William Patrick Zellers, Logansport; one brother, Vaughn Dean Zellers, Warsaw; 11 grandchildren, Joshua Jordan, George Jordan, Blake Jordan, Victoria Jordan, Cory Christensen, Katie Christensen, William Zellers, Britainie Zellers, Wyatt Streeter, Lane Streeter and Drew Streeter; two great-grandchildren, Zane Lombardi and Charles Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
