Marsha Parrett Copeland

Services for Marsha Parrett Copeland, 63, Logansport, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

She died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, in her residence.

Born Oct. 1, 1942, in Flora, she was the daughter of Allen K. and Martha Deane Ayres Parrett. She was married July 22, 1982, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Jim Copeland, who survives.

Marsha had worked in the Logansport High School Cafeteria since 1994, where she felt a love and closeness to each and every one of her coworkers who were also a great help and wonderful support team during her battle with cancer.

She was a lifelong member of River of Life Christian Church, formerly Ninth Street Christian Church, where she served as a deaconess.

Her grandchildren were the highlight of her life, and finding words to describe her deep affection for each one is difficult.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kellie Strong and her husband, Mark, and Shannon Barrett and her husband, Matt, all of Logansport; one son, Kurt Timberman and his wife, Brandy, New Palestine; her parents, Logansport; one brother, Mike Parrett and his wife, Patty, Kokomo; and grandchildren, Josh Combs and Allie Combs, both of Logansport, and Faith Timberman, Jared Timberman and Riley Timberman, all of New Palestine.

One brother, Tom Parrett, preceded in death.

The Rev. Frank Hibbard will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour before services Friday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
