Patricia J. Rhodes

Patricia J. Rhodes, 83, of Logansport, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Franciscan Health East in Lafayette.

Born on July 30, 1940, in Hartford City, Patricia was the daughter of the late Dr. Clayton U. and Kathryn (Lorenz) Barabe.  On February 2, 1963, in Hartford City, Indiana, she married Jack L. Rhodes who preceded in death on May 4, 2003.

Patricia worked as a nurse in the Logansport community.  She had worked for St Joe Hospital, Memorial Hospital, Chase Center and the Logansport State Hospital throughout her career.  She was a graduate of Hartford City High School and Holy Cross School of Nursing in South Bend. Pat was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and assisted with funeral dinners for many years. She was also a member of the Florence Nightingale Society.

Patricia is survived by a son, Vincent (Lindy Slusser) Rhodes of Logansport, IN; daughter, Ann (Bill) Pilgrim of Janesville, Wisconsin; grandson, Scott Pilgrim of Janesville, WI; granddaughter, Shannon Pilgrim of Janesville, WI; two sisters, Nancy Goldman of Kokomo, IN, Chris Stepp of Kokomo, IN; brother, John Barabe of Kokomo, IN; two nieces, Sarah Goldman and Katie Hettmansberger.
Pat was also preceded in death by a nephew, Trevor Barabe.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Father Gustavo Lopez officiating. A burial will follow at Metea Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, also in the funeral home.

A Nursing Honor Guard service will be held just prior to her funeral on Wednesday.
