Peggy Ann Hunter

Peggy Ann Hunter was born on May 28, 1938. She was the daughter of Dallas Hunter and Opal Hunter. She married Henry Omer Smith in the summer of 1969. She worked at Mulehousen Brothers and then for K-Mart until they closed. She loved gospel music and country western.

Peggy is survived by a son, Robert (Deborah) Smith of Frankfort; grandchildren, Christopher (Deedra) Smith of Thorntown, Jaclyn (Craig) Sheets of Kirklin, Jason (Melissa) Smith of Frankfort; great-grandchildren, Cole Smith, Caitlin (Brett) Baer, Carson Smith, Addison Sheets, Ethan Sheets, Whitney (Michael) Burns and Baileigh (MacKenzie) Garner; great-great grandchildren, Ridley Burns and Marin Burns. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Annabelle Adams of Logansport; and her longtime friends, Bev Davis, Jane Lewis, and Jenny Koppe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Omer Smith; daughter, Sharon Hilton; son, James Smith; and several cousins.

In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, all services will be private, with burial taking place at Ever Rest Memorial Park in Logansport.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Gundrum Funeral Home.
