Roy A. Hughes

Roy A. Hughes, 66, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, in his residence.

Born on October 13, 1956, in Noblesville, IN, Roy is the son of the late Bruce Hughes and Eva Lucille (Moon) Frank.  On June 22, 2013, in Logansport, he married Karen Hughes who survives.

Roy had worked as a diesel technician. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and an ice-cold Miller Lite. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Roy was a member of Tipton Masonic Lodge, Logansport Shrine Club, V.F.W. Post 3790 and American Legion Post #60.

Surviving along with his wife, Karen, is a daughter, Erica (Greg Reinholt) Hughes of Monterey; son, Travis (Rebecca) Hughes of Lafayette; step daughters, Tami (Jason) Baker of Peru; step son, Michael (Tammy) Richie of Logansport; fours sisters, Rita (Joe) Boyd of Logansport; Rhonda (Mike) Jones of North Vernon; Roberta (Bill) Sturgeon of Logansport; Sue (Jay) Gordon of Logansport; 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Hughes; and step daughter, Tina M. Birchfield.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Logansport.
