Thomas Overpeck

Services for Thomas James Overpeck, 83, Logansport, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Gundrum Funeral Home.

He died at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 30, 1923, in Frankfort, he was the son of James E. and Hazel Stone Overpeck.

Mr. Overpeck retired In 1983 after 43 years as a car inspector for the Pennsylvania Railroad.

He was a member of the Logansport Eagles Lodge #323.

Tom enjoyed bowling, and he was member of the Monday night Satan Spoilers League.

Surviving are three sons, Thomas Overpeck II, Lucerne, Rick Overpeck and his wife, Terri, Royal Center, and Scott Overpeck and his wife, Cynthia, Kewanna; three daughters, Kathy Kuhn and her husband, Michael, Holiday Island, Ark., Peggy Mattson, Sparta, Tenn., and Anita Spencer and her husband, Charles, Richardson, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

One sister, Mary Francis Evans, preceded in death.

Pastor Sharol Eaker will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
