David Zell

David L. Zell, age 81, of Peru, passed away Saturday January 8, 2022, at 6:21 pm in Duke’s Memorial Hospital.

Born December 26, 1940, in Kokomo, IN to the late Lyman “Pete” & Helen (Douglass) Zell. On June 23, 1983, in Peru. IN he married Wilma Jean Barnes who survives.

David retired as a Millwright for Chrysler in Kokomo. He was a graduate of Tipton Township, member of UAW #685, member of the Church of the Brethren in Peru and was an avid bowler.

Survivors including his wife Jean are four sons, Brett (Chandra) Zell, Galveston, IN; Craig Zell, Onward, IN; Eric (Leann) Zell, KS; Michael (Tamma) Zell; Kokomo, IN; daughter, Karen (Ben) Kasey, MO; three step daughters, Lori (Chuck) Lees, Bunker Hill, IN; Susanna (Matthew) Townsend, Peru. IN; Christina (Dan) Moore, Santa Fe, IN; three sisters, Emilie Slusher, Walton, IN; Eloise Sanders. Logansport, IN; Betty (Gary) Davis, Walton, IN; 28 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at a later date.
