Deborah Miller

Deborah Kay Miller, 66, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at St Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on January 20, 1954 in Fort Wayne, Indiana she was the daughter to the late Charles “Chuck” and Lucille (Strait) Smith.  After turning 16, she was raised by Patricia and Joseph Arone.  Debi graduated from Logansport High School in 1973.

Debi worked at the Logansport State Hospital as a rehab therapy assistant. She was a people person and thoroughly enjoyed caring for her patients.  Debi loved watching the lifetime channel and westerns, especially Gunsmoke. She liked to listen to jazz and blues while enjoying a glass of wine or beer. Her grandchildren called her “Grandmags” and she will be missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Ryan (Tabitha) Miller, Macy; Rhett (Stacy) Miller, Carrboro, NC; two sisters, Cynthia (Kenneth) Angel, Churubusco; Jerilyn Smith, Logansport; two grandsons, Wyatt Miller and Emmett Miller, both of Carrboro, NC; several nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Jamie, Paige, Elizabeth, Missy.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Kevin Miller, two brothers, Don Taylor and Joel Arone, a nephew, Nicholas Arone.

A celebration of life will be held from 3:14 PM until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Amelio’s in Logansport.
