Deloris Gordon

Deloris  “Doc” A. Gordon, age 89, of Logansport, passed away peacefully on Saturday June 27, 2020  at 3:33 am in Millers Merry Manor of Logansport.

She was born on October 2, 1930 in Logansport to the late Margaret Elpers.

Deloris retired from the Logansport State Hospital where she worked in the Dietary Department. She had also worked at Franklin Elementary School as a noon aide and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Deloris enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, attending yard sales and just being out and about.

Survivors include two daughters, Jann (Mark) Byers, Royal Center; Janine (Brad) Starks, LaPorte; one son, John “Jay” Thomas (Sue) Gordon Jr., Logansport; six granddaughters, Tricia (Brad) Swartzell, Royal Center; Tia (Eric) Hurley, LaPorte; Krissy Hines, Royal Center; Ashley (Brad) Glietz, Logansport; Jayme Byers, Royal Center; Kelsey Byers, Royal Center; two grandsons, Eric (Rachelle) Gordon, Logansport; Bryan Gordon, Logansport; fourteen great grandchildren.

Deloris was preceded in death by one son, Randy Scott Gordon, one daughter, Linda J. Zeider and one grandson, Mark Allen Byers.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday July 2, 2020 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Kelly R. Spencer officiating.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until time of service Thursday.
