Denise Vinyard

Denise A. Vinyard, age 85, of Logansport, passed away Wednesday October 13, 2021 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

She was born April 17, 1936 in Logansport to the late Edwin “Doc” Doyle and Veraldine M. (Law) Reed. She was married September of 1954 in Logansport to Ronald C. Vinyard who survives.

Denise worked for General Tire/GenCorp Company and did the payroll for Logansport and Wabash until her retirement. Denise was a 1954 graduate of Logansport High School. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds at her home on Lake Perry. She volunteered for the Cass County Historical Society, enjoyed reading books on the subject and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Lura (Arnold) Hoskins, Phoenix, AZ;  son, Mark Vinyard (Sophie), Bethesda, MD; She has two brothers, Richard S. (Marcie) Reed, CO; Alan L. (Sue) Reed, Indian River, Ontario; 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday October 22, 2021 in the Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Vernon officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery of Logansport.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 am until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society.
