Donald M. Conrad, age 87, of Walton, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 7:05 p.m. in St. Vincent’s Hospital of Indianapolis.
Born March 23, 1933 in Cass County IN, he was the son of the late Ferdinand and Marie (Hubenthal) Conrad. On December 27, 1953 in Onward, IN he married Charlotte M. Price who preceded in death November 1, 2016.
Don retired from Logan Machine after 47 years of service. He was a member of Onward Christian Church and was well known to never be without his camera as he was an avid photographer. Don was a former scout leader and served on the Sagamore Council. He was also well known as a Red Cross volunteer and blood donor. He was the choir leader when he was a member of the Metea Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Tom Conrad of Logansport; Ray Conrad of Frederick, Maryland; Will Conrad of Lebanon, IL; two grandsons, Jason and Michael Conrad; one granddaughter, Brianna Conrad; one sister, Loretta Swigart, Lebanon, IN; one brother, Everett (Beverly) Conrad, Marion, IN; several nieces and nephews.
Don was preceded in death by one grandson, Greg Conrad; one sister, Dorothy Pearish; and one brother, Joseph "Joe" Conrad.
A private graveside service will be held at the Metea Cemetery with Pastor Rod Mason officiating.
