Doris Slusser

Doris Mae Slusser, age 86, of Philadelphia, MS and formerly of Logansport, passed away Friday May 7, 2021 in Philadelphia, MS.

Born on February 22, 1935 in Cass County, IN, she is the daughter to the late Rolla and Garnet (Kistler) Nethercutt.  On October 14, 1954 in Logansport, she married Ralph Lee Slusser who preceded in death on January 5, 2014.

Surviving Doris are two sons, Craig A. (Teresa) Slusser of Logansport; Parker B. (Betina) Slusser of Burlington; daughter, Jane B. (Bill) Johns of Philadelphia, MS; daughter in law, Teresa Slusser of Rochester, IN; three sisters, Lila (Phil) Carmicheal of Logansport; Linda (Chuck) Landis of Burnettsville and Connie (Greg) Johns of Monticello; brother, Fred (Sharon) Nethercutt of Twelve MIle; Sister-In-Law, Dorothy Slusser, Francesville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dirk Slusser; grandson, Patrick Slusser; three great grandchildren, Emma, Trinity, Brodan; six brothers and three sisters.

Per Doris’s request graveside rites will be private in the Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville.
