Dyanna Elliott

Dyanna K. Elliott, 60, of Indianapolis, died Friday, January 13, 2023, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Born on December 4, 1962, at home in Lucerne, she was the daughter of the late Donald Elliott and Jean Firmani Tyler.

Dyan was a 1981 graduate of Pioneer High School, and a 1985 graduate of Ball State University.

She spent many years working in the Logansport Community School Corporation, caring about the wellbeing of the students as a social worker.  She also provided counseling to children in the Kokomo and Indianapolis school systems.

Surviving with her mother, Jean Tyler of Logansport, are siblings, Darlene (Bob) Scales, Donna Quain, Don (Pat) Elliott, David (Susie) Elliott; and brother in law, Gary McLeland. Also surviving Dyan are numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews.

Dyan was preceded in death by her sister, Darla; nephew, Adam; father, Don; stepfather, Mark Tyler; brothers in law, Tom Gerlach and Mike Quain; grandparents, Alber and Dora Elliott and Romeo and Gertrude Firmani.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday April 21, 2023, in The Mount Hope Cemetery.

Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children’s Hospital or St. Jude.
