Obituary

Edward D. Stout, 88, of Royal Center, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in Logansport.

Born on October 13, 1934, in Logansport, Ed is the son of the late Frederick D. and Bessie (Grassmyer) Stout.  On November 29, 1959, in New Palestine, Indiana, he married Barbara Davis who survives.

Ed worked as a hearing and speech therapist for the Southeastern School Corporation. He also was a former bus driver for the Indiana Motor Bus and Imperial Travel.  Ed attended Bethany Gospel Church and was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during the Korean War.

Surviving along with his wife Barbara, are two sons, Brian Stout of Burlington; Alan Stout of Peru; three daughters, Theresa (Mark) Scheler of Logansport; Karen S. (Gary) Stearns of Logansport; Christina L. (Jon) Perkins of Wisconsin; six grandchildren, Isabelle Perkins, Jessica Perkins, James Knapp, Deborah Knapp, Christopher Knapp and Jonathan Knapp.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

 A family gathering will be held at a later date.
