Edith Lewis

Edith Eileen Lewis, 97, of Logansport, passed away Thursday April 21, 2022, in Chase Center.

Born January 25, 1925, in Logansport, she was the daughter to the late William L. and Edith Faye (Sprinkle) Sharp.

On July 28, 1945, in Knoxville, IL she married Jay Wayne Lewis who preceded in death on July 27, 1988.

Edith retired from RBM after 17 years of service. She had also worked in the kitchen for Clymers and Logansport Schools. She was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Surviving are three sons, William L. (Sue) Lewis, Logansport; Robert L. (Holly) Lewis, Delphi, IN; Dickie W. (Mary Beth) Lewis, Logansport; two daughters, Anita K. (Kenny) Killian, Sterling, Alaska; Melissa A. Wafford, Avon, IN; eleven grandchildren, Jerry Lewis, Logansport; Craig (Regina) Lewis, Barberton, OH; Elizabeth (Joe) Bennett, Logansport; Laura (Kelly) Austin, Kokomo, IN; Sabrina Davis, Indianapolis, IN; Carey N. (Heather)Lewis, Lafayette, IN; Kimberly (Vladimir) Jovic, Indianapolis, IN; Alyssa Lewis, Lafayette, IN; William Wafford, Indianapolis, IN; Kenny (Suzan) Killian II, Wasilla, Alaska; Shawn Killian, Soldotna, Alaska; several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

Preceding Edith in death is one sister, four brothers, one grandchild, Matt Lewis and one great grandchild, Brandon Lewis.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday April 26, 2022, in Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Kristen Schmid Officiating. Burial will follow in Ever-Rest Memorial Park Cemetery, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
