Jane was a person in love with her profession. During the time we worked together at  Koç University Library, I have always envied her determination to work, her discipline and her sense of justice. She was a leader and made great efforts to get all of us to good positions in our careers. She has always been with us in our good and bad days and has supported us in every way. Who can forget the henna nights and baby showers she organized at her home... She will live in our hearts forever and will be remembered for her virtues. May she rest in peace...

Dear Nancy and family,
I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss. I know that many people all around the world are mourning Jane’s loss with us.
I worked with Jane at Koc University in Istanbul more than twenty years ago. We never lost contact.  She was my mentor, manager, and above all my friend.
I always remember her hard work, extraordinary discipline, love and compassion and her beloved Mother, Mary Jane.
Jane did far more than establish and lead libraries all around the world. She built communities… She paved the road for generations of young librarians and opened new paths for many of them.
I will miss her deeply.
I will always remember what she wrote to me once:
“Life is much too short, however those we hold dear will remain in our thoughts and hearts forever”.
Rest in peace.

Dear Jane,

I am very sorry you've gone. You were so generous to us. I will always remember your laughter, your joy, your helpfulness and your hard works for Turkish libraries and librarians. You were the kindest daughter to your mother. You will be much missed. Rest in peace.
Goodbye.
