Janet Lee Lucas, 86, of Logansport, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport, surrounded by her family.
Born on June 7, 1935 in Smithville, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late Lincoln and Brycie (Sparks) Maggart. On August 1, 1953 in Logansport, she married Richard E. Lucas who preceded in death on May 23, 2014.
Janet worked at RBM for 42 years, she had also worked at the Neal Home. She enjoyed bowling and helping the neighbors.
Surviving is a daughter, Kathy (Terry) LaOrange of Monticello; two sons, Rick (Judi) Lucas of Walton; David (Candy) Lucas of Lafayette; sister, Sue Parsley of Logansport; three brothers, Bob (Yvonne) Maggart of Burnettsville; Jerry (Barb) Maggart of Walton; David (Susie) Maggart of Rochester; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl and Jim Maggart.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Dean Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 also at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
