John Mcgrew

John F. McGrew, 87, of Logansport, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Franciscan Health East Hospital in Lafayette.

John was born on August 24, 1933 and is the son to the late John Francis McGrew Sr. and Irene (Gaby) Knapp.  On November 10, 1951 in Logansport, he married Mona L. Willis who preceded in death on June 27, 2018.  John retired from Chrysler.

Surviving are three sons, Jack (Teresa) McGrew of Windfall, IN, Thomas (Judy) McGrew of Old Town, FL, Jeff (Toni) McGrew of Logansport, IN; two daughters, Debra (Steve) Bell of Akron, IN; Vickie McGrew of Greentown, IN; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters.

A private funeral service will be held for the family at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021 with Pastor Jackie Varnell officiating. It will be live streamed under the “Live Funeral Services” tab on the Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory website ( www.gundrumcares.com ).

Friends are invited to attend the graveside committal service at Metea Cemetery, the funeral procession will arrive at approximately 3:30 pm on Sunday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
