Linda Lou Lane, 85, of Logansport and formerly of Stockwell, IN, passed away Thursday November 3, 2022.
Born February 16, 1937, in Stockwell, IN to the late Wilbur F. and Evelyn (Messenger) Nicewander. On November 5, 1976, she married her forever lifetime partner, Coy D. Lane, who survives. They enjoyed many activities together including fishing, gardening and just spending time together.
Linda owned and operated Linda’s Flower’s and was a floral designer for over 25 years. She was a 1955 graduate of Stockwell High School. She was very proud of her residence in Stockwell as it was known as a show place of her beautiful flower gardens. She was very well known for all things lavender.
Linda was a longtime member of Stockwell United Methodist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and active in many capacities.
Surviving, along with her husband Coy, are two sons, Stevin (Michelle) McClain, Estelle Springs, TN; Duane (Tiffany) Snider, Covington, IN; one daughter, Lana (John) Combs, Logansport; two stepsons, Jeffry (Cindy) Lane, Oxford; Joseph (Tina) Lane, Pine Village; two stepdaughters, Patricia Sue Tucker, Lafayette; Julie Lane, Lafayette; several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a special great grandson, Levi Dyer, whom took special care of her and her husband Coy.
Linda was preceded in death by a half-brother, Frank Nicewander, daughter-in-law, Lori Snider and grandson, Jesse Snider.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday November 9, 2022, in the Stockwell United Methodist Church with Pastor Jim Higdon officiating. Burial will follow in the Concord Cemetery.
A visitation will be held at the Stockwell United Methodist Church from 11:00 am until time of services.
