Martha Phillips

Martha Lee Phillips, 94, of Royal Center, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 in her residence.

Born on September 26, 1925 in Royal Center, she is the daughter to the late Edward M. and Lillie (Hall) Shafer.  On May 15, 1943 in Royal Center, she married Robert L. Phillips Jr. who preceded her in death on July 23, 2007.

Martha was a farmer’s wife, a loving mother and a fabulous homemaker. She attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving is a daughter, Joey (Ronnie) Day of Royal Center; two sons, Dean (Judy) Phillips of Troy, OH; Ken (Ke’ani) Phillips of Royal Center; three granddaughters, Angela (Mark) DeWalt of Royal Center; Amy (Cameron) Chan of Alaska; Ann (Brian Knisley of TN; three grandsons, Brett (Season) Day of Lucerne; Jacob (Dusty) Phillips of Montana; Edward (LarRissa) Phillips of TN; 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Donnabelle McVay.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Royal Center Cemetery with Dr. Horace Smith officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Church of the Nazarene in Logansport.
