Merle Deford

Merle G. DeFord, 85, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.

Born on January 30, 1935 in Logansport, he is the son to the late Raymond E. and Eva (Landes) DeFord.  Merle was married to Anita DeFord, who preceded him in death.

Merle was a former press operator for ELCO and was also an avid woodworker.

Surviving are three sons, Charles (Debra) DeFord; John DeFord both of Logansport; Dennis (Melanie) DeFord, Monrovia, IN; two daughters, Cathy DeFord and Linda Delp both of Logansport; three brothers, Jerry (Felicia) DeFord, Logansport; Francis (Mary) DeFord of Delphi; Randy DeFord of Royal Center; sister, Phyllis (Joe) Showley of Logansport; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Merle was preceded in death by a brother Lawrence Leroy DeFord.

No services will be held.
