Patricia Lewis

Today Patricia Ann (Grantham) Lewis, 89, of Logansport, is at home in the presence of our Lord. Born November 25, 1931 in Royal Center to the late Paul and Freda (Wilson) Grantham.

Patty graduated from Royal Center High School in1950, where she was a cheer leader and in 1954 contracted Polio. She spent the rest of her life beating the odds, helping others, fighting the good fight, asking for nothing in return, loving her family and friends, and smiling in the face of adversity.

She had a long career at Memorial Hospital as a switchboard operator and served her community in several ways. Patty was known by many and loved by everyone. An infectious smile, soothing voice, kind brown eyes, and a loving and caring personality defined her. She is survived by two sons Michael (Beaverton, OR) and Kerry (Logansport), 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter, as well as the wives and husbands of her loving family.

You are free now Mom, no crutches, no braces, no walker, and no wheelchair. Run swiftly in the fields of the Lord. He is surely pleased with how you lived this life.

Per her request there will be no Service. Condolences and memories can be posted at www.gundrumcares.com

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gundrum Funeral Home and Cass County Crematory.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Earl C. Fernbaugh Crippled Children's Trust Endowment via the Cass County Community Foundation - http://casscountycf.org/pages/home/1
