Richard Sadler

Richard Jay Sadler, of Lake Placid, Florida died Tuesday evening August 11, 2020.

Richard was born in Wabash, Indiana on July 3, 1937. He was the son of the late Dorothy (Thomas) and Sidney R. Sadler Jr..

After high school Richard entered the U.S. Navy and served from 1955 to 1958. Upon his discharge, he began farming in Grass Creek, Indiana where he raised hogs and farmed soybeans and corn for many years. Richard has been residing in Lake Placid, Florida for 31 years, where he loved working in his yard and garden. He was a member of the Lake Placid American Legion and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife Sandra (Hoffman) Sadler; one son, Mike Sadler, Kewanna; one daughter, Ashlie Sadler, FL; two sisters, Sandy (Sadler) Gates, Kewanna; Patricia Sadler, FL; nine grandchildren and he was blessed with eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Laurie (Sadler) Bowyer, Tammy (Sadler) Kottkamp and one brother, Terry Sadler.

He was an amazing father and husband, was loved and will be missed by the many !

Per Richards request there will be no visitation and a private ceremony for the family will be held at a later date.
