Ronald Mix

Ronald A. Mix, 70, of Logansport, passed away, surrounded by his family, on August 19, 2019 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago.

Ron was born on July 27, 1949 in Muncie, Indiana. He graduated from North Central High School in 1967 and received his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. On April 14, 1973 in Lafayette, he married the love of his life, Robbin Holowenko. Ron was immediately welcomed into the Holowenko family by Robbin’s parents, Alfred and Virginia Holowenko and her brother Richard Holowenko.

Ron was an industrial engineer and worked for Zimmer in Warsaw and Chrysler in Kokomo. He was a member of the U.A.W. 1302. Ron loved to work in his yard/garden, enjoyed boat rides on lake Shafer and his wife’s chocolate chip cookies.

Surviving along with his wife Robbin, is a son, David (Debbie) Mix of Chesterton, IN; daughter, Tara Mix of Elkhart, IN.

He was preceded in death by his father in law, Alfred Holowenko and mother in law, Virginia Holowenko.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Gundrum Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Saturday.
